10 mins Chocolate Sauce

This chocolate sauce recipe is the easiest recipe ever! I don't know why I've never liked the chocolate syrups we find at the grocery stores, but I have always loved the chocolate syrups my mom made :D After mom lost her famous chocolate sauce recipe, I had to find/create a new one that fit my standards (Yes, i'm very choosy when it comes to sauces :p)
I came across this recipe on Pinterest ages ago and have been using it since then. I did make some alterations tho, to make it perfect. ;)

So let's begin!

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • A pinch of salt

Keep the pan on medium heat, add sugar and cocoa powder and mix well.

Then add in the milk little by little, make sure you keep stirring to prevent lumps from forming. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely and bring the sauce to boil. After it boils and thickens, remove from heat and add in the vanilla and salt. Leave it to cool down on room temperature. Put it in a bottle or a jar after it cools down.

And Voila! Your easy peasy chocolate sauce is ready :D

Heat the sauce until you're satisfied with the thickness. But remember the real thickness comes after the sauce has cooled down.

Enjoy it with your cakes, brownies, chocolate milk, ice creams etc. It goes with everything! (;

Hope you all liked this recipe. Do try and comment below how it turned out :)
